How do you automate without your feed looking automated?

Genuine strategy question rather than a support one. The tooling makes it easy to post a lot. But I've seen accounts where you can tell it's on rails: same cadence, same phrasing, same three hashtags forever.

What are people doing to keep it feeling human?

All three of Marcus's points are right, and the tool is built assuming you'll do them.

Worth being explicit about the philosophy: automation should remove the labor of posting, not the judgment behind it. The system handles cadence, distribution, dedupe, and rendering. What to say and who you're saying it to stays yours. The accounts that look robotic are usually the ones that handed over judgment too, not just labor.

Concretely, the features that support Marcus's list: multiple caption variants per pool, the 48-hour per-account guard so nothing repeats too close, category templates for varying content type, and hashtag rotation. Use them and the "on rails" feel mostly goes away.

Three things that made the biggest difference for my client accounts:

  1. Write more caption variants than you think you need. People write two and rotate them forever. I do eight to ten per pool. Cheap to write once, and the feed stops rhyming with itself.
  2. Vary the posting hour. Everything landing at exactly 9:00 every day is the most obvious tell there is.
  3. Post something manual weekly. One genuinely reactive post a week (a comment on something current, a customer photo) does more for the "real account" impression than anything automated. Automation carries the volume, you carry the personality.

Adding one: rotate hashtag sets rather than pinning one block. I keep four sets and cycle them. Also means I can see which set actually performs.
